Losing the Moob

Yep, you guessed it correct, this page is about the male boob! The Moob!

Why? After the blog post about IF HERE I received some messages about the male hormones etc and the use of (illegal in sports) substances, Progesterone, Pregnenolone and DHEA (these are discussed within the supplement section HERE).  These being precursors to Testosterone, what would be the influence in reducing the size of Gynecomastia, Moobs!

Well, my response to this of course is, go see your medical professional.  There are so many online ‘gurus’ who would claim to be able to supplement with something that would put your hormones in sync to rectify these issues, but without a doctors overview which would include having blood assessments you can never really know!

But this got me thinking about a fellow athlete that I know very well, came to the sport late as a way of getting fit and for vanity issues, wanted that athlete body.  He regularly mentions he maintains doing chest weights for keeping the ‘Moob’ nice and muscular looking rather than a little droopy.

Exercise has been proven to boost the body’s production of Hormones, for example when the body exceeds an effort threshold in excess of the VO2 max (3k pace and below) and also with Heavy weights, HGH does increase! Along with Testosterone!

There is a correlation to the physical vanity of athletes and the levels of Hormones within the body for sure.  Pushing yourself to be physically active and competitive can certainly aid body composition and keep hormone levels on the right side.

So if your Moobs are the result of bad lifestyle and binge eating drinking and just a little droopy training for Athletics can certainly help your composition and bring the body inline for the vanity benefits of looking good, that’s for sure.
