Product Review - Fitbit Blaze Vs TomTom Spark
I am a lover of tech! Simple as that really. I have the Fitbit Blaze and TomTom Spark and Love them both differently!
This stretches across to watches of any and every kind; in fact I have over 30 watches sprawled across my House, Car and Garage.
When it comes to running Tech, I can’t get enough. To be able to delve in the stats that sports watches give fascinates me. The running stats, the HR and sleep tracking are just something that I like to dissect and really assess in see with my own eyes if anything is improving.
Two of the most popular watches on the market today are the TomTom Spark and the Fitbit Blaze, both of these aimed at wide ends of the fitness market. The spark at the full on running/ sports community and the Blaze at the everyday fitness concerned individual.
On the view of these items though, apart from the GPS and music storage/playback of the Spark there really isn’t much difference in what these offer. I own them both in fact, and use them both for the reasons that are aimed, I wear the Blaze in my normal life due to being able to change the strap for a classier Metal clasp etc and I use the Spark for runs where I really want to be able to track the distance more accurately. Just going back to the Music playback ability, this is done via Bluetooth but I find the strength of the signal to be nothing short of appalling, I have several sets of headphones and none are able to keep consistent steady connection.
The Blaze isn’t hugely inaccurate on runs even without the GPS, which I find truly remarkable. But where the blaze loses out for me is the ability to get ‘laps’ ’splits’ when using the running tracker option. I see a lot of watches missing this function and really don’t know why; it actually annoys me that a fitness watch doesn’t have the ability to get splits. Thank fully the Spark is able to do this when put on to Manual lap mode whilst in the running option.
The apps for both of these are pretty much the same if I’m honest, just skinned differently but with all the same functionality.
Choice!
For me as a running watch the TomTom Spark wins hands down, great options. But in only comes with chunky rubber straps. Which If like me you attempt to be a little fashion conscious occasionally this is a big bug for me.
That’s why I continue to wear the Fitbit Blaze as my everyday tracker/watch. As long as you can survive without the GPS and splits ability, the blaze is a very good watch that hits all the fashion elements you could require.
I will be continuing to wear both :)
So I am no help at all... Sorry about that!
